Andrew N. Vey
Partner | Employment and Labour Lawyer
Born in Ottawa and raised on the East Coast, Andrew is a founding partner of Vey Willetts LLP. From the start of his legal career, Andrew has focused exclusively on workplace law. His style of practice emphasizes finding collaborative solutions where possible, combined with tenacious advocacy where necessary.
Andrew has served a diverse group of clients in the past, including large retailers, municipal police services and individual employees. He has also acted as counsel in court and administrative venues ranging from the Ontario Labour Relations Board to the Ontario Divisional Court. He frequently appears as a speaker at HR industry events and has been quoted in publications such as Canadian HR Reporter and Global News.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from Carleton University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. He also acts as a legal editor for First Reference’s Human Resources Policy-Pro (Ontario Edition) and is a regular contributor for HR Insider.
Outside of the office, Andrew serves as Past President of the Board of Directors for the Causeway Work Centre and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the County of Carleton Law Association.
