Vey Willetts LLP Welcomes Colin Marshall to the Firm
Vey Willetts LLP is pleased to welcome Colin Marshall as a summer student for 2017. Colin has recently completed his second year at the University of Ottawa Law School and will be working with the firm over the next several months on a variety of projects. Welcome Colin!
Colin comes to Vey Willetts LLP after completing his second year of law school in the Common Law Program at the University of Ottawa. A Maritimer, Colin was born and raised in Moncton, New Brunswick. Before coming to law school, Colin graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours) in History and Political Science, focusing his studies primarily on Canadian military and political history.
Colin is passionate about Employment and Labour Law. Colin’s passion for Employment and Labour Law has developed throughout law school in the classroom, as well as in multiple Employment and Labour Law competitions. Most notably, Colin was a member of the University of Ottawa team that competed in the 2017 Tulane National Baseball Arbitration Competition held in New Orleans, Louisiana. The UOttawa Team won the Best Oral Advocacy Award and were Quarterfinalists in a competition featuring 40 teams representing law schools from Canada and the United States.
In his spare time, Colin is an avid golfer and his proudest golfing accomplishment was representing the province of New Brunswick at the Canadian Junior Boys Championship. Colin also plays hockey, softball and flag football, and he is a die hard sports fan.
